Who is Charles Kohout?

Helping people has been an obsession of Chuck's since and early age.  Having required much extra help himself, just to learn to read and write, he knew it was a must for him to give back. Today, Chuck is not only recognized as a master of quick-turn real estate, but is a master of real estate investing, and a gifted educator through interpersonal communications. His passion for helping others take themselves and their business to the next level always shines through.

Chuck is a successful investor, entrepreneur, and educator with an incredible drive and optimistic attitude towards life. He believes this is something that can be learned, as he had learned it himself.

As a youngster helping his father run the family bakery, Chuck was immersed in the world of business before he could see over the counter. This led him to spend much of his life running a number of businesses. 

In 1998, after just a few weeks of working as an intern at a textile company in Manhattan, Chuck was offered a full-time high paying position. Management recognized his business savvy and unprecedented sales skills in that industry. With his unique perspective, Chuck literally changed the way that textile company acquired inventory. Although he was tempted to leave school and take the job, he turned it down and finished his formal education. He returned after graduation to the company in 2000 as a Vice President. It was here that he learned one of his most valuable lessons: the money in a deal is made when you buy. Chuck stayed for four years honing his skills as a transaction engineer and a master negotiator. However, he still felt unsatisfied with his career path.  

After serious thought about how he could use his unique skills to generate more revenue and more free time, in less time, while helping others, it came to him: working with distressed homeowners and their properties. Combining his buying and selling experience with his newly found knowledge of real estate, Chuck reinvented himself. 

Chuck founded his first business in 2004, buying and selling houses with little money and no credit. The company was so successful, it made in excess of a quarter of a million dollars during its first year and following years were even better. This allowed him to leave the workforce and never look back.

Chuck has a background in the field of special education and a Bachelor's Degree from East Stroudsburg University in Rehabilitative Services along with a concentration in Biology. Some of his work has been published in the Journal of Herpetology, and he has copyrighted educational materials. In addition, Chuck also holds the title as one of New Jersey's largest drug-free competitive bodybuilders. Chuck has always had a knack for doing what others perceive as impossible with relative ease, and he loves to show others how they can do the same.

Chuck's real estate programs are founded on real world experience. He went through every at-home real estate course under the sun, picking out and refining what worked, resurrecting and refining old techniques, inventing some new ones, and discarding the rest. 

Chuck is a strong believer in commitment. He didn't have a choice. With only a few dollars in the bank, no job, and no chance of going back to his old job, he had to make it work.

Chuck has spent in excess of $150,000 on real estate home study courses, events, seminars, boot camps, audio programs, and mentoring to learn everything about real estate. He has figured out what works because he learned through experience what doesn't work.

Since his humble beginnings, Chuck has been involved in hundreds of real estate transactions using little money and no credit.

Which brings us to today. After a brief joint venture with a local coaching and training company, Chuck decided to take another leap and go out on his own - again in the field of education.

With the help of some of his students, Chuck founded Applied Education. This is a company that not only provides you with the tools you need to achieve your goals in real estate and in life, but also the knowledge to use them. His students learn the same tools, strategies and skills that Chuck uses in his own business and life.

Chuck continues to refine his skills and his real-estate investing system with the changing market. After years of being put on a pedestal at local real estate clubs and being begged for his secrets, he knew it was time to share. There is more than enough out there for those who want it. Chuck believes it is his mission to empower them and show them how to get it!

On a personal note, Chuck is a laid back guy from a lower middle class home who stands up for what he believes in, and anything worth fighting for. He does not drink, loves to cook, and takes pleasure in the simpler things in life like biking, hiking and fishing.
