Charles "Chuck" Kohout
Mentor to the Mentors
Charles “Chuck” Kohout is an accomplished entrepreneur, educator and one of the most successful real estate investors in the Greater New York Metropolitan area. In 2007 at the age of 30, Chuck became a millionaire. He then tripled his earnings in 2008 when he made more than $3 million capitalizing on the opportunities presented by the current market conditions and creatively investing in real estate.
As founder of Applied Education, he shares his unique knowledge, experience and business savvy with his students so they too can achieve the same success. Chuck’s Turning Houses™ Weekend Seminar is the foundation for Chuck’s approach which reveals the most state-specific, and comprehensive real estate investment system ever. Chuck also heads the Holding Houses™ Group, a branch of Applied Education, which uses teamwork amongst real estate investors to help them grow their Self-Directed IRAs and Roth IRAs in leaps and bounds and generate passive income.
Chuck is a frequent lecturer on real estate issues and a media source for information on creative real estate investing.

John M. Bucci
Instructor & Real Estate Acquisitions Expert
John M. Bucci became a member of the Applied Education team in January 2008. John brings with him the knowledge and experience of the many different facets of the Mortgage Industry. After a short term at a Direct Lending Institution, he transferred his experience to the title industry. He became a certified Title Officer for the State of New Jersey. Before leaving the title business, John acted as Vice President of one of the leading title agencies in New Jersey where he was responsible for running all the day-to-day operations.
John currently teaches portions of the Holding Houses™ Class; but finds his real pride in being an integral member of the Applied Education team. John feels most satisfied when he is given the opportunity to work with his students and mentors on a one-on-one basis; helping them to cultivate and achieve their personal goals and define their financial objectives. John is considered Charles Kohout’s “right-hand-man” when it comes to reviewing and analyzing all his personal real estate ventures.

Carol Romeo
Marketing Director
Carol Romeo brings more than 25 years of marketing expertise to Applied Education. She joined Applied Education in April 2009 to spearhead the company’s aggressive expansion throughout the Greater New York Metropolitan area. Carol is a true marketing communications expert with the ability to develop highly successful marketing programs that draw upon her keen understanding of public relations, online marketing, advertising, and grassroots social networking.
In addition to her overall marketing responsibilities at Applied Education, Carol teaches the marketing classes. She finds teaching and mentoring students extremely rewarding.
Throughout her early career with prominent New York City ad agencies, Carol managed more than 200 successful public relations campaigns for prominent companies like M&M/MARS. In 2000, Carol was a founding partner of The CBK Group Advertising and Public Relations in Paramus, NJ and is currently a co-owner of The Leader Newspapers, the leading weekly newspaper in the South Bergen area.

Doug Trabal
Senior Curriculum Advisor
Douglas Trabal is always the first face you see when you enter an Applied Education class and the "go-to" man in the back of the room to help you map out your real estate investor education plan.
Doug joined Applied Education in November 2008, after he mentored with Chuck Kohout for about a year. Prior to working at Applied Education, Doug was a successful sales professional for Sysco Metro Foods and Unilever Foodsolutions. He also worked in the banking industry for Bank of America and Fleet Bank.

Linton Gentles

Linton Gentles is one of Applied Education’s most amazing success stories. When Linton met Chuck Kohout in 2005, Linton was unemployed, on the verge of losing three homes to foreclosure, and sleeping in his car. Chuck was able to assist Linton with his homes, and put him on the fast track to real estate investment success. Linton began taking courses at Applied Education and was able to turn his life around.
In 2009, he is debt-free, was living in his own home, and is turning about 4-5 houses per month. In just four short years, Linton has realized his dream of self-employment and helps other people rebuild their lives each day as a mentor and instructor at Applied Education. Linton is now looking to his future and has a new goal to build his passive income streams to create financial freedom for himself and his family.

Frank Generoso
Instructor & Mentor
Frank Generoso became part of the Applied Education team in 2008 as a Short Sales professional that mentored under Chuck Kohout for about a year before joining the company.
Frank teaches classes on motivation and goal-setting, as well as different topics in the Turning Houses™ Weekend Seminar. He is also a real estate investor coach and mentor to Applied Education students.
Before entering the real estate investment industry full-time, Frank was a police officer in New York. Upon his early retirement from the force due to an injury, Frank started Generoso International and was self-employed for more than 10 years.
